WP Motorsport, the motorsport fuel & lubricants division of the WP Group, today proudly announces a multi-year official fuel supplier deal with the UK’s unique formula, the Legends Cars National Championship, until end 2015.
The Legends Cars National Championship has been present in the UK for 19 years, and 2013 will be another bumper year for the category. In 2012 average grids of 28 cars were in action at the top UK circuits such as Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Oulton Park and Anglesey. Also, this year the Championship will visit Snetterton for the first time. WP Motorsport will be fueling the nose to tail racing from this season for all 16 rounds of the Championship, ensuring that the fiercely competitive category is both one of equality and cost-effectiveness.
The wheel-to-wheel big grid racing is a fantastic way to entertain and be entertained. A full-season racing budget of circa 12,000 pounds not only gets you 16 race events, but also post-produced TV coverage on Motors TV. WP Motorsport, with its long history within motorsport will ensure that drivers can rely on a reputable, clean and budget-friendly fuel source which is the same for each competitor. Stringent control testing will be supplied at each circuit, just to make sure all racers have peace of mind over each other.
Championship Manager, Phil Cooper (main photo, right), explains, “The Legends Cars National Championship is an accessible, inexpensive and most importantly exciting category. Our new partnership with WP Motorsport as official fuel supplier continues on our morals to ensure our teams and drivers enjoy low-cost but top quality racing.”
Darren Borras, WP Group’s Commercial Director (main photo, left), continues, “WP Motorsport is continuing to grow in it’s capacity as a top quality fuel service supplier, not only do we cater for some of Britain’s best known and longest running Championships, such as the British Formula 3 International Series, and the British GT Championship but also those who wish to offer quality at competitive price. We are delighted to be partnered with the Legends Cars National Championship for the next three years as it proves that we’re there to support all levels of UK motorsport for the long term."
This season’s Legends Racing kicks off at Oulton Park in Cheshire on 6th April, and will once again feature it’s infamous reverse grid races, providing more overtaking in one race than a season in some of the best motorsport categories in the world.
