Scottish racer Finlay Crocker has this afternoon, Monday, 18th August, confirmed his participation in this coming weekend’s Courier Connections Renault UK Clio Cup races at Knockhill in Fife ­ his return to the category bringing the grid for rounds 13 and 14 up to a season-best 16 cars.

Last weekend’s WP Racing fuelled British Superbike triple header at Oulton saw Ryuichi Kiyonari just miss out on a hat trick of victories by a super ride from Josh Brookes.

Oulton Park hosts round 7 of the British Super Bike Championships this weekend. This will be the rider’s second visit to the circuit and with the first round of practice over with it looks set to be a cracker.

The 2014 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship round 6 meeting took place at, the WP Group sponsored, Thruxton race circuit last weekend. As the crowds of BSB fans witnessed the title race really starting to heat up with Milwaukee Yamaha’s Josh Brookes taking his first double win of the season.

Thruxton in Hampshire is traditionally the fastest race on the BSB Motorstar calendar and today’s sixth round was no exception after the rain showers that plagued qualifying on Saturday cleared overnight to leave beautiful sunny skies and warmer temperatures for racing.

The British Superbikes return to Brand Hatch this weekend for the second time this season, since the opening round in April. Practice has already begun with qualifying starting Saturday through to the main event on Sunday. 

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, is the setting for a WP Fuelled British GT Championship this weekend.  

Josh Cook (Bath) looks set to further increase his Courier Connections Renault UK Clio Cup points lead when rounds nine and 10 of the season take place at Croft on Sunday, having dominated both pre-event practice sessions at the North Yorkshire track today, Friday, 27th June.

The WP Racing team can expect a busy weekend ahead as they travel to three separate championships, the Clio Cup, Superone Karts and the British Superbike Championship. 

Silverstone played host to Avon Tyres British GT Championship’s crown event Silverstone 500. Fuelled by WP Racing the Oman Racing Team Aston Martin took the victory for the second time this season with Michael Caine taking the chequered flag by a considerable margin.
